These five new Round Table Pizza spots are so delightfully silly and earnestly stupid, they deserve their own category at Cannes. The chain’s Pizza Knight runs like a sissy from a screaming horror-movie-masked Killer Pizza who wields a club made out of salad; he shares a tender moment with a portly Super Hawaiian; and to illustrate that Round Table won’t cut corners, he rides a tricycle so badly that he winds up on his back, armored limbs flailing—all part of his quest to promote the chain’s pies.

LOS ANGELES - July 2, 2008 - Round Table Pizza's quirky brand ambassador, "Pizza Knight™," finds himself in the company of a violent pizza, a Hawaiian superhero and other unexpected characters in a new round of TV spots created by marketing ideas agency WONGDOODY. The five :30 ads will begin airing July 7 in California, Oregon and Nevada.

WongDoody's new spots for GameFly show videogame characters using the game-rental service. The spot above shows a paratrooper, mid-drop, placing a GameFly order. What if he forgets to pull the cord? Luckily, he doesn’t—and he arrives home safely to find the game waiting for him. The mix of styles is fun, but where’s the reference to the seminal Pong and Blip environments? Sure, that paratrooper’s reflexes are quick enough to work a laptop at 1,200 feet—but the kids in this 1977 commercial could kick his ass at Blip. What a wuss. Someone should make a commercial fusing the various scenarios of BlueFly’s spots through the years. Just don’t invite the kids to play.

LOS ANGELES - May 15, 2008 - This month, marketing ideas agency WONGDOODY unveils two TV ads inspired by well-known video game environments for online game rental service GameFly. Tapping into gamers' personal connection to new and classic games, the ads merge popular game worlds into one to explain how the rental service works. The spots will begin airing May 19 on various broadcast and cable networks nationwide. This is the agency's first creative work for GameFly.
